The Success Unit is a fantastic provision; specifically designed to support the learning and achievement of students who may be struggling to make the expected progress, particularly in Maths, English or Science. Small group sessions target any gaps in students’ knowledge and teach them the skills necessary to ensure they achieve to their full potential.
The Success Unit works closely with the Maths, English and Science department to offer each of our students an individual programme of learning, specifically tailored to their needs. It is a quiet, positive space where students really enjoy learning.
Our purpose is to seed ambition; build confidence and turn weaknesses into strengths. Here are just a couple of the positive comments students have made about their experiences in the Success Unit:
"I really appreciate all the help I received in the Success Unit in my final year. Miss Whitehead, Mr Mizzi and Miss Chung really pushed me to achieve my C grade target in GCSE Maths. I was so happy when I saw those results!"
Akin (a former Year 11 student & current sixth former)
"The good thing about the Success Unit is that you can get as much help as you need; you can ask as many questions as you need without feeling weird and everyone there wants to do well so you get a lot of work done."
Lauren (a former Year 11 student & current sixth former)
