A day trip to Cambridge University

A day trip to Cambridge University

Published on 17 March 2017

In an on-going commitment to stretch and inspire Lambeth Academy students, over 30 students from Year 8 and Year 10 who have been part of the IntoUniversity programme visited St John’s College, Cambridge on Friday 17th of March. The students had a series of workshops and activities which gave them the chance to think about complex scientific questions. One of the activities was a DNA workshop where teams of students had to assemble a model of the DNA double helix. They also took part in a panel discussion with current undergraduates who answered questions about student life at university and how it differs from school. Megan Goldman Roberts, Access Officer from Cambridge expressed her delight at the creativity shown by students “It’s great to see curious young minds hard at work!”
