Lambeth Academy opened its doors and welcomed visitors to their annual Open Evening. Student ambassadors led tours around the building and every department showcased activities with the assistance of keen students who stayed after school to help. There were flame tests, exploding jelly babies and experiments in the Science rooms, a drawing competition in Art, trampolining and table tennis in PE, number games in Maths, jazz music and drumming coming from the practice rooms and much more. Headteacher Miss Carol Shepherd said “We enjoy these open evening so much because we get to meet so many new families. It’s a terrific opportunity for them to talk to our staff and students and discover first hand, the benefits of coming to Lambeth Academy”.
