Message from the Headteacher

Dear Parent/Carer

Thank you for your support this term.  Our students have settled back to school well and we have been involved in a number of events and activities including our Open Days and Key Stage Information Evenings.  The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we thank you for continually working with us to make these events successful.

Ms Jan Shadick, Executive Principal
It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to serve as the Principal and Executive Principal of Lambeth Academy. We have been on a tremendous journey since I began in January 2012 and I have enjoyed and relished every minute. When I think about Lambeth Academy I think of energy, enthusiasm, passion, difference, confidence and aspiration. There is something about us that is unique which I will always treasure. My leaving is made slightly easier by knowing that I will continue to work with the school in my new role as Regional Director and that I am leaving it in the safe and experienced hands of Ms Shepherd.

Ms Chioma Oganya, Governor Lambeth Academy
I am delighted to announce that Ms Shadick has been appointed as United Learning’s Regional Director for the South, starting in September. This means that she will step away from Lambeth as Executive Principal but will oversee its progress as part of her new remit working closely with Ms Shepherd who will remain as Headteacher.

Review Issue 4 Term 4

Dear parent / carer

It has been another very busy term with World Book Day, IWD, Diversity month and RND let alone preparing for exams!

Our Year 11 and Year 13 have been working very hard as they head towards the summer exam period and I would like to thank them for this hard work alongside their teachers – many of whom have been in over the weekends and will be in during Easter. Please check with your son / daughter about what revision sessions are on over the holidays as there will be many!

Review Issue 3 Term 3

We come to the end of another busy term, made busier by its shortness!

Our Year 11 and 13 have worked hard as they progress strongly towards their exams.  The days are ticking away!

We have had our fantastic school production of Aladdin, with a record number of students involved.  A big thank you to our Creative Arts team.  There have been trips galore and of course Chinese New Year.  Our Twitter feed shows just how much goes on at Lambeth Academy every week.
