Dear Parent / Carer

It is with a great deal of sadness that I write this final message to you as Headteacher.  As you know, I have decided to step down after 11 years in a place which is in my heart and which I will dearly miss.  I have watched your children learn, flourish and grow and move on to the next stages of their lives.  Many have come back to share with me their success and it has been a privilege playing a small part in their journey towards adulthood.

Dear Parent / Carer

We’ve reached the end of another term and it has been an eventful one.  While we didn’t achieve the outcome we wanted from Ofsted, the inspectors noted many positive points which give us every confidence in the school’s future.  With the support of United Learning and our Senior Leadership Team, I am putting key processes into place so we can accept the challenge of the report and re-establish the school as ‘Good’.  With the commitment and support of our staff, we expect this to happen quickly.

Message from the Headteacher

Dear Parent/Carer

Thank you for your support this term.  Our students have settled back to school well and we have been involved in a number of events and activities including our Open Days and Key Stage Information Evenings.  The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we thank you for continually working with us to make these events successful.

Ms Jan Shadick, Executive Principal
It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to serve as the Principal and Executive Principal of Lambeth Academy. We have been on a tremendous journey since I began in January 2012 and I have enjoyed and relished every minute. When I think about Lambeth Academy I think of energy, enthusiasm, passion, difference, confidence and aspiration. There is something about us that is unique which I will always treasure. My leaving is made slightly easier by knowing that I will continue to work with the school in my new role as Regional Director and that I am leaving it in the safe and experienced hands of Ms Shepherd.

Ms Chioma Oganya, Governor Lambeth Academy
I am delighted to announce that Ms Shadick has been appointed as United Learning’s Regional Director for the South, starting in September. This means that she will step away from Lambeth as Executive Principal but will oversee its progress as part of her new remit working closely with Ms Shepherd who will remain as Headteacher.
