Lambeth Academy Wins Olympic Food Competition
Lambeth Academy has won the Olympic Food Competition. Out of 6500 UK entries our students went into the final today and won the first prize.
Our food will be cooked for the world’s Olympic athletes in the Olympics 2012! The Mayor of Lambeth has already sent her congratulations and has thanked Cory, Ferlondo, Mina, Leila, Mrs Blackwood, Mr Coley, Mr Glogiewicz and Mrs Schmidt-Roberts for what they have achieved for the academy, but also for the outstanding reputation Lambeth now holds within the UK community and the 2012 Games.
Many congratulations to all at Lambeth Academy on their well deserved success in the Olympic Food competition. It’s testament to the hard work and commitment from all at the Academy that they have such a rich and varied range of international activities that have real impact for all the wider community.
The fantastic work is vital preparation for all our young people to better understand their place in the world, and support the development of their skills in an increasingly global economy.
The international dimensions of education have been a vital part of the British Council’s work for over 75 years and we are delighted to say well done to Lambeth Academy for their success and for their outstanding and inspirational range of international work.
