Our link with Educaid Sierra Leone

Twelve teachers from our partnered Educaid schools in Sierra Leone visited Lambeth Academy on 9th November. They all are senior leaders in their schools and came to the UK for various teacher training courses and mentoring activities and to see how our schools run on a daily basis. We had a fascinating day as many students were very keen to speak to the visitors and hear about their schools in Sierra Leone. In many lessons the visitors took over the role of learning assistants and worked closely with some of our students on their tasks.  We are now looking at how our students can support the fantastic job these teachers are doing in Sierra Leone, a free schools scheme which heavily depends on funding from charities and other support world wide.
