Vacancies at Lambeth Academy

Message from the Principal

Lambeth Academy opened in September 2004 as a new school which our community was keen to establish and as one of the first City Academies. We are now full and our foundation year completed their Year 13 in July 2011.

This is an exciting time for us. I joined the school, as Principal, in January at a time when Lambeth Academy is being recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country – improving by an impressive 23% last year. We are also embarking on major building work to enhance our facilities and our site and these will be completed by September of this year. As an Academy we are going from strength to strength and this is testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff who work here.

The next stage of our journey will be to continue to build on these successes and firm foundations and to reach ‘outstanding’. We are striving to be recognised as an outstanding school by Ofsted but also to be confident that all that we do is outstanding. I want Lambeth Academy to be a place where people want to come – to work, to learn and to be part of. We are all, staff, students and parents, committed to achieving this aim.
We are looking to appoint committed, enthusiastic and talented staff, who relish the opportunity to be involved in moving Lambeth Academy to outstanding, working in a fast-paced and innovative environment, making a significant difference to the lives of young people. We are a team which takes seriously the safeguarding of our students and our staff.

I am proud to have been appointed as the Principal of Lambeth Academy. Our community is vibrant, diverse and unique.

If you would like to be part of an exciting, forward moving school please read through the documentation and come and visit us. All applications for posts should be sent to Mrs Cristina Popa, Lambeth Academy, Elms Road, SW4 9ET.

I look forward to meeting you.

Best wishes

Jan Shadick
Principal Lambeth Academy

"I like working at Lambeth Academy because of the diversity of all of us. Not one day is the same. As Lambeth Academy is such a globally outward looking school, there is always something fascinating happening here. It makes me incredibly proud to be part of this school and when pupils tell visitors that they are proud to be taught here I know that all my colleagues and I are doing the right thing."
