Lambeth Academy students brought fresh energy and enthusiasm to this 'tale as old as time' with a fantastic performance of Beauty and the Beast this week. Performed over two nights, audiences delighted in the familiar music and enjoyed the youthful actors' creative interpretations of well-known characters Belle, the Beast, Gaston, Lumiere, Mrs Pots and the rest.
Mr Gavin Twohig, Assistant Principal who oversees the Creative Arts Department said, "I was blown away by the show, as were my family. Everyone was completely entertained from start to finish. It was nice to see such an eclectic mix of students developing both their character and their passion for performing".
Head of Drama, Mr Mark Wignall was thrilled with the results of hours of practice and preparations before and after school. He is credited with bringing it all together. The cast, crew and teachers who supported the production can now enjoy a well deserved break over half term.
