The focus on assemblies this week was our continued high expectations and what students can expect during upcoming assessments. As I walked around the corridors today looking into classrooms, I was so proud to see students with their heads down, working hard in their lessons. This is why I am in teaching, to see our young people developing and embracing education which gives them options for their future. Over the last month, we’ve had lots of incidents in our community, including the tragic death of a young man as a result of knife crime near Clapham Common South tube station last Friday. These events do not define who we are. Myself and the staff will do everything possible to make sure students get the best education and we will do everything we can to keep our young people safe in school.
