A lot of people are often surprised to learn that I am very festive. As soon as the 1st of December arrives, the Christmas tree goes up in my house. It is also a time of year I really value as I was taught as a child that the build-up to Christmas is a time when we should reflect on the needs of others. Having the power to improve the lives of others is a privilege. Better yet, your own charitable donations can inspire your friends and family to do the same! Ultimately, Christmas is all about giving back. This is why we at the Academy will be very focused on this for the last few weeks of term. I will be placing large hampers in the atrium under the Christmas tree. All students will be encouraged to bring in non-perishable food to fill these hampers and on the last day of term, students will take the items to our local food bank.
