This week was another busy week with the final Year 11 and 13 exams, a visit to the Southbank for a group of Year 9 and 10 girls, our fantastic Dance Showcase and the appointment of a Head Boy and Head Girl. I’m really proud of the fact that along with a relentless focus on teaching and learning we continue to provide opportunities for our young people to showcase their character and talents outside of the classroom as part of our programme of education with character.
In keeping with the season of goodwill and to celebrate all the hard work we’ve seen by staff and students since September, on Wednesday 12th December we will be providing a free Christmas lunch for the entire school. There will be no packed lunches on that day, so please do not make one for your child. Our Christmas lunch is an excellent time for the school to eat and spend time together as a community, reflecting on the considerable successes of the autumn term. However, if you think that means we’re winding down, think again. Lessons will be of their usual rigour right up until the end. I won’t have it any other way!
