It was a short final week of the term and I was really pleased to see good teaching and learning taking place right up until the lunch break on Thursday. While it is our longest term and both students and staff are tired, resilience kicked in and we worked together to maintain focus and discipline until the final bell. We did make time to celebrate and during our joint assemblies there was plenty of applause and cheers for students who were lucky enough to win our “postcards of excellence” prize draw. And those who received golden postcards from me will join me on a trip in the New Year. Our students have thought of others this holiday season with their generous donations and Norwood & Brixton foodbank and Little Lives charity expressed their sincere gratitude for these acts of kindness which will brighten others’ Christmas holidays.
