A Level Results Day 2020

Lambeth Academy Year 13 students received their A level / BTEC grades today.  In spite of the challenges faced by early school closures and the cancellation of A level exams due to COVID-19, students were awarded the results they needed to access a pathway of their choice for next year.

Out of the year group, 91% were offered a place at university. Furthermore, 20% of students are going to ST30 universities and 18% will attend Russell Group universities.

Alongside this there were some impressive individual successes.  Notable student outcomes included:

  • Sharon Fonye  has been awarded two places to fulfil her dream of studying astrophysics! (She will go to KCL or Queen Mary)
  • Jennifer Lopez-Aguirre is heading to University College London to study Geophysics 
  • Joao Vieira got a well-deserved place at the competitive University College of Osteopathy
  • Kelly Ogoe and Plamedi Domingos have secured a places at the University of Birmingham after demonstrating their commitment and passion for the very competitive Midwifery and Child Psychology courses.
  • Kaylee Adinolfi is beginning an apprenticeship in Social Work demonstrating her commitment to the community.

Rebecca White, Head of Sixth Form said:

"I am so proud of all our Year 13 students who put in the work and have also shown tremendous resilience during these difficult times.  These results are a testament to the aspirational culture created by our Sixth Form teachers and the Sixth Form Team."
