Lambeth Academy Year 13 students received their A level / BTEC grades today. In spite of the challenges faced by early school closures and the cancellation of A level exams due to COVID-19, students were awarded the results they needed to access a pathway of their choice for next year.
Out of the year group, 91% were offered a place at university. Furthermore, 20% of students are going to ST30 universities and 18% will attend Russell Group universities.
Alongside this there were some impressive individual successes. Notable student outcomes included:
- Sharon Fonye has been awarded two places to fulfil her dream of studying astrophysics! (She will go to KCL or Queen Mary)
- Jennifer Lopez-Aguirre is heading to University College London to study Geophysics
- Joao Vieira got a well-deserved place at the competitive University College of Osteopathy
- Kelly Ogoe and Plamedi Domingos have secured a places at the University of Birmingham after demonstrating their commitment and passion for the very competitive Midwifery and Child Psychology courses.
- Kaylee Adinolfi is beginning an apprenticeship in Social Work demonstrating her commitment to the community.

"I am so proud of all our Year 13 students who put in the work and have also shown tremendous resilience during these difficult times. These results are a testament to the aspirational culture created by our Sixth Form teachers and the Sixth Form Team."
