How to Minimise Absence and Maximise Learning

We want to ensure that all of our students achieve their potential by being at school every day and on time.  Government legislation states that NO holiday is to be taken during school term time unless for exceptional circumstances.  If holiday leave is required, you will need to place your request in a letter to the Principal, prior to the travelling date.  The Principal is the only one who will agree or not agree holiday during term time.  A maximum of 10 days will be authorised at any time.  Failure to apply for leave could result in a Penalty Notice being issued and unauthorised absence affecting your child's overall attendence to school.

Please support us by supporting your child and keeping them in school.

If you need to discuss your child’s attendance or punctuality please contact their Head of Year or Ms Effat Rahimi, our Attendance Officer.

How to Use Our Planner Effectively For Successful Learning

We want all of our students to be lesson-ready and organised for school every day.  The planner is the vital tool which helps each student to ensure that they know what subjects they have, what equipment they need, and what homework they have day by day. Please go through your child's planner with them as often as possible so you can monitor their work and see how they are doing in every class.

PARENT/SCHOOL COMMUNICATION

Your son/daughter’s Form Tutor is the first point of contact for general academic or pastoral queries.  They can usually help manage contact with other teachers.

If further assistance is required the Head of Year can also be contacted.

A ist of key staff can be found in the Key Staff section of the website.

Our receptionist will either handle or redirect to the relevant person questions or concerns about financial matters eg  payments for lunch, trips or music lessons.

As teachers are often delivering lessons they may not be able to respond immediately.  If you have an urgent query, please contact Reception on tel: 020 7819 4700.

MyEd App

We encourage all parents to download the MyEd app on their phone so they can have easy access to all aspects of school life.  With the app, parents will be able to view student attendance, school policies, news, forms, achievements and general school information.  The app can be accessed in the MyEd section of the parent portal.

HOLIDAY LEAVE DURING SCHOOL TERM

Due to the new government legislation NO holiday is to be taken or will not be authorised during school term time unless for exceptional circumstances. If holiday leave is required you will need to place your request in a letter prior to the travelling date to the Headteacher. The Principal is the only one who will agree or not agree holiday during school term time.

A maximum of 10 days will be authorised at any time. Failure to apply for leave could result in a Penalty Notice being issued and unauthorised absence effecting your son/daughter's overall attendance to school.
