Sixth Form Curriculum

After GCSEs, the choice of courses is huge and therefore excellent advice and guidance is vital for students to achieve their absolute best. We have an excellent team offering advice and guidance and a dedicated careers advisory team who will endeavour to give students a bespoke service throughout their time in the Sixth Form.

We offer a wide range of traditional academic subjects at A-level and also carefully selected BTEC courses.

Course subjects are always under review; A-levels available to choose from have included: Art & Design, Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Drama & Theatre, Economics, English Literature, French, Further Maths, Geography, History, ICT, Maths, Music Technology, Politics, Philosophy and Ethics, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Spanish.

BTEC courses include Business Studies, Sport and Health & Social Care.

There is also the opportunity, with agreement by the Head of Sixth Form, to re-take GCSE Maths and English Language as well as studying community languages to A-level.

Supported by Department Heads, Sixth Form students submit articles for publication in LASER, a Science newsletter and Past, Present and Future, a Humanities newsletter.  For a fascinating read and to learn something more about these two subject areas, download the newsletters below:
